Introduction
Searching in the online-catalogue and reading in the library is free of charge. Please notice that the catalogue is not yet complete,
because to date only the arrivals from the years 1997 on are in the electronic version of the catalogue. Titles that arrived at the
library before 1997 are not yet in the electronical catalogue.
The alphabetical catalogue is arranged following the alphabetical order of the initial letters of authors` names or of book/
journal titles.
You can search systematically in the alphabetical catalogue, too, by using the „SEARCH“ function of your word program.
Insert a catchword which might be in the title of a book, or when searching for books in the original language insert a possible place
of publication (Thai = Bangkok or Chiangmai; Vietnamese = Hanoi or HoChiMi; Laotian = Vientiane or Luang Prabang;
Chinese = Peking etc.). Besides this, you can search systematically by using the specific search terms as shown in the
Index of systematical search terms.
You can print all titles of the catalogue.
Books and media can not be lent from the library, but you can contact the Library Service to order copies of books, book
sections, journals etc. For copies, you will have to pay € 0,15 per A4 sheet plus postage.
At the library, readers can use the library`s copy-machines or your own laptop. Readers should make
an appointment by phone or e-mail, since the library is not open regularly.
